Simon French

Simon has over 20 years’ experience in commercial dispute resolution, administrative and regulatory law, working with a broad range of clients including commercial and government clients in Australia and the UK.   Simon’s expertise includes shareholder and partnership disputes, franchise disputes, planning and environment, and responding to regulatory enforcement action.

He also brings a broader practical experience to his legal advice, informed by several years’ working at an executive level outside of legal practice.  This perspective gives him a particularly good appreciation of the need for advice to be practical and useful to clients, and this is something that he strives to do with each matter that he is working on.

Outside of the law, he likes to apply his problem-solving skills to improving his chess ranking and working with his wife on controlling his six children.  He is also a keen (but not very good) cyclist and hobby farmer.
